axtor announced the third generation of MaXLine

After announcing the plan for wireless hard drive, Maxtor has launched the follow-up to its MaXLine products with MaXLine III. MaXLine III is a high capacity storage that employs the native SATA technology as well as offering hot-plugging, 16Mb buffer, and ability to be integrated with Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) drives in a single SAS system.

Hard drive supplier Maxtor Corp. has announced the MaXLine III hard drive. The high-capacity, native SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) drive is the third generation of the MAXLine technology. The MAXLine III drive is on the market to meet the needs of the midline market, where capacity and reliability are what counts, according to a Maxtor spokesperson.
