ATI announces TV Wonder

TODAY ATI ANNOUNCED the “TV Wonder USB 2.0″, which is a tv tuner for plugging into both desktop and notebook PCs. With the device installed, users will be able to watch the telly on their computers, as well as record data from TV onto their PC.

The product should be available this summer in the USA, and will come in two available packages, the “TV Wonder USB 2.0 Remote Control Edition” at $149, and the “TV Wonder USB 2.0″ which should weigh in at $100.

ATI combines the Theater 200 chip and their Multimedia Center software with USB 2.0, which they promise will supply excellent visual quality and exclusive features. Since USB 2.0 is 40 times faster than USB 1.1, the video quality should be more than acceptable.
